Buyer Qualification Requirements

Welcome to the JOGS Gem & Jewelry Show

We are dedicated to upholding the show’s integrity by admitting only active members of the gem and jewelry trade. Therefore, we require all buyers to meet our strict credentialing requirements.

Automatic Approval

You will be automatically approved if you have been approved to attend a JOGS Show within the past two years.

Buyer Qualifications

To attend the JOGS Show as a buyer, you must be:

  • An active retailer of gems, jewelry, rocks, and minerals
  • A finished jewelry and gems wholesaler
  • Engaged in the gem and jewelry industry or its related products

Additional Information

You may be asked to provide additional information if:

  • This is your first time attending
  • Your company has changed
  • You do not meet the buyer qualifications
  • Otherwise required by show management

Badge Pickup

Badges are not mailed in advance. Buyers can pre-register online and print their badge confirmation after receiving pre-approval. However, they must still have their badges validated at the registration desk upon arrival at the Show site. JOGS Show management reserves the right to refuse admission and revoke the admission badge.

Required Documentation

To attend the JOGS Show, you must provide one of the following:

Business/Resale License

A copy of your Business License, Resale License, or Certificate that indicates your industry affiliation and is dated within the last 2 years. (EIN is not accepted)

Industry Invoices

If your business/resale license or tax ID certificate does not indicate that your company is involved in the gem and jewelry industry, or if your state does not issue such licenses, you must provide copies of invoices for jewelry, gemstones, precious metal, or lapidary equipment purchases made within the past year. Each invoice must show the purchase of multiple items.

Membership Proof

If you are a member of one of the following organizations, please provide proof of membership:

  • Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) – Listing as a retailer of finished jewelry
  • Jewelers of America (JA) – Membership as a retailer of finished jewelry
  • American Gem Society (AGS) – Retail membership

Attendee Affiliation

For each attendee registering under the company, at least one of the following must be provided to confirm employment/affiliation with the company:

  • Professionally printed business card showing each attendee’s name and affiliation with the registering company
  • Any legal documents, such as company registrations, articles of incorporation, leases, etc., that show the registering attendee’s name in affiliation with the registering company
  • Recent W-2 form, canceled payroll check, or pay stub

Student Registration

Students currently enrolled in a gemstone or jewelry educational institution must register on-site. They must provide:

  • A current student ID from the school
  • Paperwork showing recent course completion
