An intermediate workshop where participants build a custom gemstone ring or pendant using more advanced silversmithing techniques.
This Level 2 workshop helps students take their silversmithing further by creating a handcrafted gemstone ring or pendant from scratch. Participants learn how to work with cabochons, create a custom bezel setting, shape the bezel around a stone, solder it to a backing plate, use a jeweler’s saw to cut metal, stamp and texture a ring band, and complete professional polishing and finishing. All tools and materials are included, and students choose their own gemstone. Level 1 is recommended but not required.
